Why do we have to constantly ask ourselves these questions?

What about the loss of prime agricultural land?

What about the fire protection?

What about the loss of native wildlife?

What a about the loss of visual amenity?

What about the loss of community?

What about our homes and landscape becoming a wasteland of ugly and dangerous energy infrastructure?

What about standing up and having your say!!

Stop AusNet’s Towers Community Meetings & Legal Campaign Update

MONDAY NOVEMBER 7 THROUGH WEDNESDAY NOVEMBER 16

You can't save the environment by wrecking the environment – Let’s stand together to make a difference and Stop AusNet’s Towers.

We want to tell you more about our ongoing Legal Fight and allow you to ask questions of us.

The Moorabool and Central Highlands Power Alliance has uncovered fundamental flaws in the Western Victorian Regulatory Investment Test for Transmission (West Vic RIT-T) which was undertaken by the Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO).

Save our farms, towns and communities. AusNet’s towers will be a blight on the region for generations. The proposed overhead transmission line project will have a 100-year impact on our communities.

The transition to renewable energy doesn’t need to leave an army of transmission towers and a massive terminal station in its wake. Destroying the uniqueness of Western Victoria. There are better solutions that are not being considered.

  • Overhead powerlines are a proven bushfire risk
  • They will destroy Victoria’s highest producing agricultural land
  • They will decimate endangered species’ habitat
  • They will impact on property values
  • and Tourism and the Environment will suffer

Thank you to all and the KDPA

The Moorabool and Central Highlands Power Alliance would like to acknowledge the generous donation that resulted from the Open Garden At the Kingston Old School run by members of the  Kingston and District Power Alliance (KDPA)

The open garden was a great success and a wonderful fundraiser. Thank you to all who organised the event and the community who attended the beautiful garden.

We are confident our collective fight against this project (in it’s current form) is having a meaningful and positive impact that will deliver a superior result to the communities and to Victoria. On behalf of the many thousands of community members we sincerely appreciate the support from the KDPA.

As a united community we can change this ill-conceived and devastating project.
